I am a Psychologist with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology.
I completed my undergraduate work in psychology, as well as my master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, from Memorial University.
I’ve worked in schools as a guidance counsellor and an educational psychologist, with mental health care facilities associated with health boards, and in private clinics.
I practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Throughout my experiences in working with clients, I’ve seen first-hand the importance of putting compassion and connection first. I am passionate about understanding my clients as people. Together, we can address challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, grief, destructive habits, and relationship difficulties. I have experience and knowledge in working with LGBTQ+ clients and clients diagnosed with ADHD. I also possess a depth of knowledge and experience with mindfulness and meditation approaches, and integrate these in to therapy.
I’m currently accepting referrals for clients aged 19+.
